My Health Association brings together like-minded professionals who work within a natural healing and spiritual industry. Our intention as a governing body in the natural health arena is to remind our members that spirituality and business can go hand-in-hand. Often we are told that the two simply don’t meet and that we must be competitive and ruthless in business to succeed. We have been conditioned from other business owners, media and perhaps our family and friends to believe that if we are too ‘soft’ in business, we won’t prosper. How can we bring our spiritual practice to our business life? My answer is to always check your ego and to remember that ‘inner work’ always comes before business work.

 

The ego never questions itself. It only sees externally and lacks the humility to turn inward and take ownership of behaviours. We all have this ego. It is our choice, however, how spiritually responsible we will be and how far we will go to become vulnerable and humble. Will you own your part in all your dynamics with others in business? Or will you continue to blame others and circumstances for your business experiences? Without spiritual practice, we are unlikely to give up the ego that negates our own part in our business dramas, lack of abundance, sabotage of our business dreams, or any other areas in our life where we are not experiencing peace or success. Guess what? If you let the ego win, you will not only foil your own good efforts to succeed, you have failed in your divine responsibility to the collective consciousness. We all need to turn inward, understand why we act in certain ways, and consider if this is for the highest good for ourselves and others. Inner work is the only way to do this. If you continually distract yourself through being busy, you will miss the GOLD that lies within. You will block growth. Your life will reflect your stagnation. There is purpose to yoga, mediation & healing. Commit now to your practice and commit to getting to know the tricks of your ego! Watch your business world thrive as you nourish your inner world!
